About Us
Schafer’s is a family-owned Restaurant & Bar where locals feel right at home. A proud cousin to the beloved Outriggers Seafood Grill & Bar—an iconic waterfront spot under the Kemah-Seabrook bridge for 18 years—Schafer’s carries on the tradition after Outriggers closed due to the Hwy 146 bridge expansion and eminent domain.
Located on the water, Schafer’s offers an inviting upscale casual atmosphere perfect for everything from date nights to game days. Our menu features fresh seafood and American favorites with a Gulf Coast twist—think mouthwatering steaks, chops, burgers, and coastal-inspired seafood dishes. Pair your meal with one of our signature cocktails or selections from our thoughtfully curated wine list.
With stunning waterfront views and the best Happy Hour in Clear Lake, Schafer’s is your go-to destination for great food, great drinks, and unforgettable sunsets.
Dress Code:
Our atmosphere is upscale casual, and we encourage guests to dress in a way that reflects our relaxed yet refined setting. Casual attire is welcome—shorts and short sleeves for men are perfectly acceptable. Hats and caps are fine, though we kindly ask that ballcaps not be worn backwards. To maintain a comfortable and inviting environment for all guests, we ask that you refrain from wearing sweatpants, excessively revealing swimwear, or headphones around the head or neck while dining. If arriving by boat in swimwear, we do require a modest cover-up before entering the restaurant.
Please note that final discretion on appropriate attire lies with management, and service may be refused to those who do not meet the dress code standards.
